Impressions from the CLARIN Annual Conference 2025

The CLARIN Annual Conference 2025 took place in Vienna (Austria) from 30 September to 2 October 2025. This event is the most significant annual gathering for CLARIN, the Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure, community, designed for an interdisciplinary audience that includes specialists in the humanities, social sciences, and exact sciences, as well as anyone with an interest in language research and language technologies.

CLARIN-LT delegation in the Conference: Andrius Utka (VMU, SITTI), Sigita Rackevičienė (MRU), Jurgita Vaičenonienė (VMU, SITTI), and Edgaras Dambrauskas (VMU, SITTI). CLARIN-LT representatives participated in various working groups as well as committee meetings, and delivered the following presentations:

  • 🔹Short summary of the K-centre reporting 2025 (Jurgita Vaičenonienė, and Vesna Lušicky)
  • 🔹The AI Act and its impact on Large Language Models and the CLARIN Infrastructure (Pawel Kamocki, Anna Gosławska, Henk van den Heuvel, Erik Ketzan, Krister Lindén, Costanza Navarretta, Andrius Puksas, and German Rigau)
  • 🔹A poster presentation: Cybersecurity Language Resources in CLARIN-LT Repository (Sigita Rackevičienė, and Andrius Utka)
  • 🔹A poster presentation: Oral History Resource: Lithuanian Testimonies of Siberian Deportations (Jurgita Vaičenonienė).
  • 🔹A poster presentation: LITUND: Lithuanian Unreliable News Detection Corpus (Edgaras Dambrauskas)
