On 3–4 October 2025, in the Central European University (CEU) (Vienna), in person and online, the OCR/HTR Workshop for Under-resourced and Under-represented Languages will be held.
Throughout the workshop, scientists and technical specialists involved in the development or application of OCR/HTR tools will share their insights, present emerging innovations, engage in discussions about arising challenges, and explore potential solutions.
The primary focus of the workshop will be on languages written in non-Latin scripts, such as Kanbun (literary Sinitic), classical Korean, Chinese, Tibetan, Garshuni Malayalam, Hebrew, Ottoman Turkish, Sanskrit and Newar, ancient Greek, and Devanagari.
