On 23 September 2026, an educational event took place, during which Assoc. Prof. Jurgita Vaičenonienė – a lecturer from the Department of Lithuanian Studies at the Faculty of Humanities of Vytautas Magnus University, a researcher at the Digital Resources and Interdisciplinary Research Institute, and the National Coordinator of the CLARIN-LT Consortium – gave a lecture to students from Ukmergė Jonas Basanavičius Gymnasium about language technologies, the CLARIN infrastructure, and publicly available language tools and resources.

During the event, the students and their teachers learned:
●What the CLARIN infrastructure is and how it can enhance teaching and learning.●What corpora are, why they are needed, how to use them for research, where to find them, and how to use them effectively.●Why is it necessary to study language at all.●Why scientists and researchers need to engage in continuous learning, keep up with the latest developments, and systematically strengthen their professional competencies.
The audience was encouraged to independently explore the diverse range of resources available through the CLARIN infrastructure, identify those most relevant to their interests and needs, and evaluate their functionality and potential applications.
